Check compatibility before choosing the enclosure.

The controller, hoists and wiring need to be specified together. Include the following details even when the initial request is only for a controller.

Electrical and connection details

Send the hoist model, available electrical documentation, supply voltage and frequency. Identify connectors and the proposed cable lengths. If equipment already exists, provide its specification so the controller package can be reviewed against it.

Channels and operating groups

List the number of hoists and explain which points operate together. Distinguish grouped lifting from programmed positioning. Include any expected expansion and the operator’s location; these affect the configuration being discussed.

Feedback and optional functions

For PLC enquiries, state whether position feedback, scene sequences or load display is required. The catalogue lists optional load sensing and console integration. These functions must be explicitly included in the agreed configuration.

System documentation

Request the connection schedule, operating documentation and a clear supply boundary. Identify who will install and commission the complete system. Confirm the controls and protective functions with the project integrator before operation.

Frequently asked questions

Does the 50-channel figure apply to every controller?

No. The catalogue describes custom portable knob-type controller configurations up to 50 channels. It should not be treated as a universal specification for every portable or PLC model.

Can a portable controller operate several hoists together?

The catalogue describes individual and grouped operation for portable controllers. State the intended groups, hoist models and electrical requirements so the supported arrangement can be confirmed.

Are load display and overload alarms standard?

The PLC catalogue section describes these functions with optional load sensors. Request confirmation of sensing equipment, displays and supported alarm functions in your quotation.

Can the controller connect to show-control equipment?

The PLC catalogue references RS485 and optional console integration with DMX512 triggering. Provide the existing equipment and intended functions so compatibility can be reviewed for the offered system.
