Touring: define the repeatable package
Document the hoists, controllers, cables and cases that move together. Explain how the crew identifies lifting points and connects the system at each venue. Include the required lift and site power information, and identify anything that changes between locations.
Installed systems: define access and interfaces
Provide the rigging layout, headroom and equipment locations. Include the operator position, planned cable routes and access for inspection or service. Name any existing control equipment so integration can be discussed before the supply scope is agreed.
Motion projects: define what moves
Describe each moving object and the intended sequence. Include loads, travel and the relationships between axes. The motion brief should distinguish setup positioning from programmed performance requirements and identify the integrator responsible for the system design.
Every project: define responsibilities
Identify who supplies and reviews the supporting structure, rigging design, electrical installation and commissioning. A product data sheet supports this work but does not replace the complete installation design or the venue’s operating procedures.
Frequently asked questions
Can touring and permanent installations use the same hoist range?
Some requirements may overlap, but the installation, control and handling needs can differ. Describe the actual working pattern and ask Dingyou to discuss product options against that brief rather than selecting by venue label alone.
What should a venue provide before asking for a quotation?
Provide the lifting-point layout, design loads, required travel, available headroom, supply details, operator location and any existing control system. Include the delivery destination and the responsibilities already assigned to the installer or integrator.
